In what Warren Morris initially said was a stupid idea to stand on the upper wing of a bi-plane and fly around the Shropshire sky at 110mph, all for charity, turned out to be not so stupid after all, as he completed the challenge to raise money for Claire House Children’s Hospice.

Warren is a Mason from the Gladstone Group and is a member of Hamer Chapter No 1393, a past first principal and is currently the DC of the chapter, and a member of Centurions of Merseyside Coronation Lodge No 2923, having been in the chair of King Solomon four times in the lodge. Warren has been a volunteer at Claire House Children’s Hospice for over 10 years, where he does volunteer driving for them, doing approximately 10 hours per week.
Imagine hearing the worst possible news as a parent; that your child is seriously ill and not expected to live to be an adult. Claire House helps parents create wonderful experiences for their children and bring back a sense of normality to family life. By providing specialist nursing care and emotional support, Claire House helps families smile again when life couldn’t get any tougher.
At Claire House, they recognise the need to understand the impact as they continue to grow and develop their services to better meet the needs of the babies, children, young adults and families that they exist to support. In recent years they have been able to publish information about the variety of services that they offer, and the number of people that they support.
When aske why he did the Wing Walk, Warren said: “I have been a volunteer for the hospice for many years, and I know how amazing the place is. Doing a Wing Walk has been on my bucket list so I thought I would take the plunge while raising some vital funds for an amazing local charity.
If you would like to sponsor me and help a great cause, I would appreciate it and love you for ever! The link to my JustGiving page is;
Your money can make a real difference to a family who urgently need more support and it would be very much appreciated.”
