Due to circumstances, Victor (Vic) Albin was unable to attend a celebration of 50 years in Freemasonry at Anfield Lodge No 2215, so Mersey Valley Group Chairman David Atkinson visited Vic at his home and presented him with his certificate on behalf of the Provincial Grand Master Mark Matthews.

Vic Albin was initiated into Freemasonry on 4 December 1972 into Princes Park Lodge No 4769 at the time holding their meetings at Eberle Street, Liverpool. Vic took on the roll of social secretary from 1977 to 1994 missing only one year when he was installed into the chair of King Solomon as WM in November 1985.
Following his year as WM, Vic served as assistant director of ceremonies from 1986 to 1994 and was then appointed director of ceremonies which he held till 2005. In 2006 Vic was appointed lodge secretary and from the start of the 2007/2008 season was appointed group secretary for the Woolton Group.
Following consultation between the Province and then group chairman David Hawkes, Vic was appointed group publicity officer in June 2010, a role he fulfilled very well. Vic held the position of group publicity officer until 2013 when he was appointed Vice Chairman of Woolton Group, a position which he held from 2013 to 2016. He was promoted to the rank of Past Provincial Senior Grand Warden in 2015.
Vic has been married to his wife Beryl for 60 years and they are both now retired, Vic was a national wholesale manager with an international furniture manufacturer and Beryl was a hairdresser. They had two sons Christopher and Graham.
