The Lodge of Triumph No 1061 in the South Fylde Group held its second social event of the year with a ‘Spring Sunday Lunch’ at the popular Bedford Hotel in St Anne’s on the Sea. Will Buchanan, the WM, and his partner Laura gave a warm welcome to 42 diners comprising of Lodge of Triumph members, their wives, partners, friends and guests.
During the afternoon, diners enjoyed an excellent three course meal which was interspersed with a number of fund-raising activities. There was a raffle at the end of the afternoon with the large number of prizes evenly distributed amongst the participating guests.
Will Buchanan thanked everyone for their attendance. He also gave special thanks and acknowledgement to the lodge social secretary Graham Smith, who with his wife Denise had organised the event. Will also thanked Ted and Glenda Rhodes for their efforts in securing a magnificent sum of £394, which will be distributed to Masonic and non-Masonic charities at the Lodge of Triumph installation in January 2025.
This was the second lodge social during Will’s year as WM, the first being an evening dinner at Scott’s Bistro held in Kirkham exactly two months previously. The lodge is planning its next social event, which will take place at the end of August, which will be a late summer event to be held at The Palace, St Annes on the Sea on Saturday 31 August.
