Southport Freemasons raised an impressive £2,828.99 for Queenscourt Hospice during a spectacular weekend of fireworks and fundraising. Southport Freemasons have once again demonstrated their commitment to supporting local charities, joining forces with Queenscourt Hospice to collect donations during the Southport Musical Fireworks Competition weekend.

Responding to a request from Samantha Nelson, the Community and Challenge Events Fundraiser for Queenscourt Hospice, members of Southport Group turned out across both Saturday and Sunday evenings, giving up their time to help raise vital funds for the much-loved local hospice.
Saturday night saw a team of four volunteers take to the crowds, including Southport Group Vice Chairman Richard Jenkinson and his partner Kerry, alongside Chris Halewood and Les King.
On Sunday evening, Southport Group Chairman Phil Stock, along with Chris Wright and Tom Bradfield-Kay, continued the fundraising effort, engaging with spectators and encouraging donations throughout the event.
With thousands of people enjoying the spectacular displays and lively atmosphere, the Freemasons worked their way through the crowds, collecting contributions from generous members of the public.
The combined efforts of the volunteers resulted in an outstanding £2,828.99 raised for Queenscourt Hospice over the two nights.
The achievement highlights the generosity of the Southport community and the willingness of the Freemasons who had volunteered to step forward when help is needed. Every donation will contribute towards the work of Queenscourt Hospice in supporting patients and their families across the local area.
The Southport Group would like to thank everyone who volunteered their time over the weekend, as well as the members of the public whose generosity helped make the fundraising such a success.

It was a fantastic team effort, demonstrating the positive difference that can be made when community spirit, charitable commitment and a little hard work come together.
A huge well done to everyone involved and thank you to the people of Southport for helping to raise such a fantastic sum for Queenscourt Hospice.
