Warrington Group’s annual service of thanksgiving and re-dedication once again took place at St Elphin’s Church, Warrington, bringing together Freemasons, families and distinguished guests for one of the most significant and well-attended events in the Warrington Freemasonry calendar.

Upon arrival, Mayor of Warrington, Councillor Sagheer Zaman, was welcomed by grand officers and distinguished guests. Among those attending were: Deputy Provincial Grand Master Frank Umbers, Deputy Grand Superintendent David Barr, Second Provincial Grand Principal Andy Whittle, Assistant Provincial Grand Master Stuart Sutherland Boyd, Warrington Group Chairman John Tyrer, Warrington Group Vice Chairman Nick Delaney and Warrington Group Secretary Geoffrey Wright.

The procession was led by the Warrington Group banner, followed by the banners of the constituent lodges, senior members of the Craft, distinguished guests, group officials and members of the clergy.
The service was conducted by Provincial Grand Chaplain Rev Canon John Hall and Provincial Deputy Grand Chaplain Chris Lamb. Addressing the congregation were the WM of Lodge of Charity Phil Hudson and the Provincial Deputy Grand Chaplain Chis Lamb each reflecting on the values of service, fellowship and community. Musical accompaniment was provided by Provincial Grand Organist Stephen Derringer, whose performance added dignity and atmosphere to the occasion.
A collection was held during the service, with all proceeds donated going in support of the church.
Following the conclusion of the service, attendees gathered at Warrington Masonic Hall for light refreshments, which provided an opportunity for Freemasons, families and guests to continue the spirit of fellowship and friendship that remains at the heart of Freemasonry.
The service of thanksgiving and re-dedication once again proved to be a memorable occasion, celebrating the enduring values of Freemasonry whilst strengthening the bonds between members, their families and the wider community.
