Demonstrating remarkable growth and enthusiasm within the Craft, Leyland St Andrew’s Lodge No 7391 has conducted its second double initiation ceremony in as many weeks, at a meeting held by special dispensation at The Hub, Walton Summit.

This notable occasion follows swiftly on the heels of the lodge’s first-ever double initiation, marking an exceptional period in its history and reflecting the continued vitality of Freemasonry within the local community. The ceremony was led with customary dignity and precision by the master of the lodge, Jeff Lucas, whose steady leadership ensured a memorable and meaningful evening for all present.
Jeff was ably supported by his officers. The junior deacon on the night was Luke Walton, a regular visitor and valued friend of the lodge. The working tools of an entered lee apprentice were explained by Jacob Ó Gallachóir, a visiting brother who sought and was granted the lodge’s invitation to present the working tools, thereby personally welcoming brother Dean Topping into Freemasonry.
The lodge was proud to welcome David Abbott and Dean Topping into the Craft. Both candidates undertook their obligations in a ceremony conducted with sincerity, solemnity and warmth, surrounded by brethren eager to extend the hand of fellowship. The charge was delivered with clarity and heartfelt encouragement by Darren Norris and David Bishop, offering wise counsel as the newly initiated brethren begin their journey in Freemasonry.
The meeting was further enhanced by the presence of many visitors from other lodges, whose attendance underscored the strong fraternal bonds that unite Freemasons across the Province and beyond. Their support ensured the initiates received a truly memorable welcome into the Order.
Hosting two double initiations within such a short period stands as a testament to the harmony, dedication and forward momentum of the brethren of the lodge. The brethren look confidently to the future as the lodge continues to grow in strength and fellowship.
