The sun came out, the crowds turned up and everyone had a great time. Lancsfest24 is a daylong family festival of dance, fun, games, circus acts and music. Oh, and a great selection of food and drink.
Now in its fifth year, the festival is growing from strength to strength and in 2024 if really livened up Miller Park in Preston. The prime aim of the Lancashire Festival is to bring families together form in and around Preston for a great day out.
There is no ambition to make money, it’s just to give families a great day ut and a great time. Preston City Council offer the park at no cost. The stage was sponsored by ME Aesthetics while a number of the performers were sponsored by The Continental and Preston Masonic Group. This support means that entry prices are just £3 on the gate. This makes for a fabulous family friendly day.
Once the weather played its part, over 2000 revellers turned out to take advantage of the sun, park and great local entertainment. This was so varied. Showtime Blackpool had a small arena with some circus entertainers. In the main ring, a local amateur circus club defied gravity. Dancing groups of all ages from all parts of Preston entertained the crowd. The main stage hosted a number of talented Preston musicians.
Add to that a fair ground for the kids along with face painting and a great variety of food and drinks, the whole day was a huge success.
Preston Masonic Group were proud to be one of the Lancfest24 sponsors. It just shows that we are integrated with all of our local community.
