As every Freemason knows, rehearsals are the key to a great ceremony and especially if the Provincial Grand Master Mark Mattews is going to be in attendance. With that in mind and in preparation for the upcoming well publicised charity walk which will be from Hope Street Masonic Hall Liverpool to Southport Masonic Halls to raise much needed donations for Queenscourt Hospice.

The Southport Group Vice Chairman Richard Jenkinson, along with Les Gilston and Alister Sainter, braved the scorching heat on in July, and performed a rehearsal of the day as part of the final preparations of the route before the big event on Saturday 25 July 2026.
Their aim was to ensure that things went smoothly, the route was accessible and that they could plan in plenty of refreshment breaks whilst coordinating their support team vehicle on the route.

Southport and other West Lancashire Freemasons will be accompanied by our very own Provincial Grand Master Mark Matthews and his wife Debbie as well as a number of Queenscourt volunteers, in order to raise those much-needed donations.
It is hoped that as many as possible will support the walk along the route from Hope Street Masonic Hall in Liverpool to Southport Masonic Hall, and sponsor the efforts of the walkers on the day. For more information about the walk, please contact Paul Dwan, email: pauldwan27@gmail.com
