Members of Boteler Lodge No 7367, along with their guests, gathered at Warrington Masonic Hall to celebrate the remarkable milestone of 50 years in Freemasonry for Peter Lamb.

Among those attending was Assistant Provincial Grand Master, Stuart Sutherland Boyd, who attended as the principal guest for this special occasion.
Peter was initiated into Boteler Lodge in 1975. Although he has lived in Hampshire for many years, he made the journey back to Warrington for this special celebration, even participating in the committee meeting the night before. He has enjoyed a distinguished career in the Army eventually retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel, and now serves as a director of the Army and Navy Club.
After the formalities in the lodge room, Peter was presented with his certificate by Warrington Group Chairman John Tyrer, on behalf of the Provincial Grand Master, Mark Matthews.
The celebration then moved downstairs to the festive board, where guests enjoyed a five-course menu that reflected Boteler Lodge’s reputation for fine dining. The evening was filled with laughter and camaraderie, enhanced by a selection of excellent wines.
Peter expressed his gratitude to everyone for their kind wishes and congratulations on his 50th anniversary in Freemasonry. Afterwards, he and the principal guests were presented with gifts from the lodge. The evening concluded with members and guests departing in high spirits although it’s possible some brethren continued the celebrations a little longer.
