The Masonic Hall at Fleetwood was the setting for a memorable evening as the North Fylde Group hosted its annual Group Officers’ Dinner. Masters and first principals were warmly welcomed by Geoff Diggles, who greeted guests with tea, biscuits and camaraderie in the temple’s side room.

Remaining guests arrived a short time later and were also welcomed by Geoff, who invited them to partake in the available refreshments. After a little while, everyone was requested to make their way into the temple, where Ryan Modlin introduced the principal guests and outlined the evening’s proceedings. A relaxed and engaging question and answer session followed, allowing brethren to connect with senior members of the Province and the North Fylde Group to ask questions on Masonic and Royal Arch matters.
All guests were then invited to take their place in the main dining room, where Reverend John Hall offered grace. Masonic Catering Ltd then served up a delicious roast chicken dinner, syrup sponge and custard dessert, followed by coffee with mint chocolate.
Group secretary Mike Brown delivered a humorous toast to Deputy Grand Superintendent David Barr, who responded with his trademark good spirit. Speeches from Provincial Grand Scribe Nehemiah John Topping, group chairman John Cross and David Barr, expressed heartfelt thanks to the officers for their dedication and encouraged continued enthusiasm in their roles.
The evening concluded with the presentation of small gifts to Provincial Grand Secretary Peter Taylor and David Barr, recognising their invaluable support to the North Fylde Group. It was an evening of warmth, gratitude and brotherhood; a true reflection of the values that bind the Masonic community.
