Operating under the mantra, ‘Food for those in need’, sums up the objective of the Noor Foodbank at Noor Hall in Preston. Their goal is to make a positive impact on the life, health and wellbeing of those who are struggling.

Noor Foodbank believes that helping a family in food poverty to eat will alleviate much of the stress / anxiety they will be feeling. It saves them from having to make the choice between paying bills or buying food for the week, a decision that nobody should have to make.
Noor serves the area around Deepdale which traditionally has high areas of deprivation and with that food insecurity. The foodbank aims to provide a family with 10 days’ worth of groceries. In addition to the foodbank, the volunteers make urgent deliveries to those in most need.
The Masons of the Preston Masonic Group have once again been humbled by the response given by the volunteer helpers at Noor to the donation made of over £800 worth of groceries. Group chairman John Rimmer, vice chairman David Parker and membership officer Simon Wright, delivered the much needed and appreciated supplies to Noor Hall. Noor Foodbank’s mantra of food for those in need marries very well with the Masonic ideal to keep us ever mindful of the needs of others.
Special thanks to Tyler and Cameron at Aldi, Queens Retail Park in Preston for their great help and support in putting the stock together for us.
