Brethren of Lodge of Charity No 2651 held a well-attended and memorable installation meeting at Warrington Masonic Hall, where Philip Hudson was installed into the chair of King Solomon. He was presented in fine form to the outgoing master, David Vaughan, whose confident and polished delivery set the tone for the evening.

The Lodge was honoured by the presence of Assistant Provincial Grand Master, Stuart Boyd, accompanied by John Tyrer, Chairman of the Warrington Group. Their attendance added distinction to what proved to be an exceptional ceremony.
Throughout the meeting, the ritual work was delivered with precision. John McIntyre presented an excellent address to the wardens, while Derek Bird delivered a flawless address to the master. Three of the lodge’s light blue members also impressed the brethren and visitors alike with a clear and confident explanation of the working tools. Even the stewards received special recognition with an address from Tony Shadwell.
Following the retirement of the principal guest and the closing of the lodge, the new master enjoyed a lighter moment as he posed for photographs with fellow members of the Widows Sons, proudly dressed in their full biker colours, accompanied of course, by his travelling duck, a familiar companion of Phil.
The evening concluded with a vibrant and convivial festive board. The brethren joined together in a united rendition of the Master’s Song before presenting floral gifts to Stuart Boyd and John Tyrer, marking a warm end to a distinguished and enjoyable occasion.
