The Vice Chairman of the Liverpool Group, Bob Paterson, finally reaches his target of £2,000 and 100 miles walking for Prostate Cancer Research. Bob originally set a target of £500, but having reached this by day two he reset the challenge to raise £1,500.

Having achieved the 56 miles challenge by the middle of February, Bob decided to continue walking in all weathers. On 28 February, Bob had completed 100 miles and has raised £2,039 for Prostate Cancer Research.
Prostate Cancer Research recently published that all participants across the country raised more than £360,000.
Prostate cancer is the most diagnosed cancer in the UK, and over 11,500 men die from this disease each year because of it. Bob has witnessed Masonic and non-Masonic friends diagnosed with this disease and have needed to undergo treatment. Sadly, for one of them it was too late.
By raising funds and awareness, everyone can help to fight this disease by taking the simple test and getting early treatment if required. People affected by prostate cancer need breakthrough treatments, and research is the only way to turn this hope into reality.
At Prostate Cancer Research (PCR), they are advancing groundbreaking research and treatments to create a future where prostate cancer no longer threatens lives. Their focus is on delivering innovative solutions and improving quality of life for patients, families and communities affected by prostate cancer.
Bob says: “I am truly grateful to all my Masonic and non-Masonic family for their support and kind donations in helping me to raise this tremendous amount of money in such a short time, thank you.”
