A joyous time was had by those attending the Liverpool Group Spring Ball held at Liverpool Masonic Hall, Hope Street. Ladies, gentlemen and brethren started arriving from 6:30pm onwards for dining at 7pm, with everyone looking to have a great evening.
After grace was said, a superb three course meal was enjoyed by those present with wine, followed by tea or coffee. An appreciation was given for what had been received, by Bob Patterson, in the form of returning thanks, and a toast made to the King.
Revellers then danced the night away to the superb sounds of Ian Christie who provided the entertainment, all taking place within the newly formed entertainment area of the Liverpool Masonic Hall. During the break in the entertainment a raffle was held and the grand sum of £590 was raised to be shared between the Liverpool Masonic Hall and the Friends of Tithebarn,
The Liverpool Group Chairman Dave Johnson took to the floor, and thanked Bob Patterson and his wife Nora for all the help that they had done in arranging, setting up and running an excellent night, with the 106 attendees agreeing with rapturous applause.
On announcing the monies raised from the raffle collection for charities, Dave Johnson made an emotional reference to the groups achievement of now having obtained a Liverpool blood bike, and securing the cost for its maintenance and servicing, thanking all the lodges for their hard work in making such an achievement in what was just under a 12-month period. Dave stated that lodges should be proud, and brethren should inform their lodges of the excellent work. An official launch would be made soon.
A bouquet of flowers was presented to Nora Patterson in appreciation of her work and the support given to Bob. The dancing continued, to what was an amazing evening, with more events to be looked at for the coming year.
