The light blues from the South Eastern Group and Eccles Group within the Province of West Lancashire Freemasons came together for a Light Blues Breakfast event held at Urmston Masonic Hall.
Though their groups are not set to officially amalgamate into the new ‘Trafford Group’ until later this year, light blues and senior brethren alike demonstrated the spirit of fraternal friendship early by joining across groups for camaraderie and Masonic education over a deliciously cooked breakfast.
“It was wonderful to see our members bridge groups and bond over our shared ideals and values,” said event organiser Wayne Devlin of Flixton Lodge No 4869. “Experienced brothers offered guidance, while newer members gained perspective on progressing through the ranks. Events like these really showcase the greatest benefits of Freemasonry.”
The well-attended event indicates a bright future for the forthcoming Trafford Group as current members build relationships and make efforts to enrich their Masonic experience. Many brothers commented on the immense value gained from uniting with those who will soon share their Masonic home.
As the light blues breakfast epitomised, the union of these groups is set to strengthen local Freemasonry through fraternity.
