Members from the Warrington, Widnes, St Helens, Prescot and Leigh Groups, attended the Mersey Valley Lodge of Installed Masters No 9057 for the installation of Tony Roe as the master of the lodge for the ensuing year.
The ceremony was held at Leigh Masonic Hall and the brethren were honoured by the presence of not one, but two Assistant Provincial Grand Masters, David Thomas and Malcolm Bell, along with other distinguished guests including Colin Rowling, Graham Williams, the Leigh Group Chairman Jonathan Heaton, the Warrington Group Chairman John Tyrer and many more.
The installation ceremony was a momentous occasion, highly anticipated by all attendees. Tony Roe was installed as the new master of the lodge by acting master George Hayes, a role in which he will surely excel. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and camaraderie, as everyone present celebrated this significant milestone.
Donations of £150 each were given to the Warrington, Leigh, Widnes, Prescot and Widnes Masonic Halls, totalling £750. This generous support highlights the importance of our Masonic Halls throughout the province to ensure this great organisation continues.
Once the ceremony finished, the celebrations continued downstairs at the social board where Tony reminisced on how he joined Freemasonry all those years ago. David Thomas addressed the room and thanked all who had attended for a fantastic evening.
