In a distinguished ceremony held at Lodge of Lights No 148 at Warrington Masonic Hall, Philip Hughes was installed into the chair of King Solomon. The event was graced by the presence of Stuart Boyd, Assistant Provincial Grand Master.

Stuart was the guest of honour and was accompanied by a number of other distinguished guests. Stuart conveyed fraternal greetings from the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master.
Philip Hughes was installed into the chair of King Solomon by the outgoing master and installing master Clive Kinton. During the ceremony, the new master of the lodge proudly announced a number of generous donations totalling £2,400 to various charities, including the West Lancashire Freemasons’ Charity. Stuart expressed his gratitude for the kind donations and commended the installing officers for their excellent work.
The festive board that followed the installation ceremony was a joyous occasion. The Master’s Song was beautifully performed by Norman Pritchard. Before the evening closed, gifts were presented to Stuart Boyd and the Warrington Group Chairman John Tyrer.
