Leyland St Andrew’s Lodge No 7391, which meets at The Hub, Walton Summit, celebrated a memorable evening with the installation of its new WM.

The ceremony saw Jeff Lucas installed as master of the lodge for the sixth time in his distinguished 49 years as a Mason. He was presented for installation by his close friend and lodge member, Stewart Seddon.
The installing master on the evening Allan Archer, who conducted the ceremony with great skill and dignity. The lodge director of ceremonies, Dave Bishop, who also serves as Chorley and Leyland Group Chairman, ensured that the evening ran with precision and smoothness befitting the occasion.
The principal guest and representative of the Provincial Grand Master Mark Matthews, was Provincial Grand Secretary Peter Taylor, who also enjoyed the personal honour of attending as a friend of over 40 years to Jeff.
The address to Jeff was given with sincerity and meaning by John Medcalfe and to the brethren by Peter Taylor and Nigel Monks addressed the stewards. The working tools were presented in an exemplary manner by the following brethren, Robin Dodd, David Shone and Darren Norris did the first, second and third degree tools respectively all of whom are light blues.
The evening concluded with a warm and convivial festive board, highlighted by the Master’s Song, beautifully rendered by Kevin Langshaw, which brought the celebrations to a fitting close. The event was a true reflection of the harmony, dedication and friendship that continues to thrive within the lodge, making it a night to remember for all who attended.
