Ian Green was installed as first principal for the first time in the Chapter of Faith No 484. Ian was appointed as the Group Chairman of the Wigan and District Group in February 2025. Karl Greenall was installed as second principal and David Belshaw was installed as the third principal.
Having been appointed Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals in January 2025, John Selley was delighted to be attending his own chapter for the first time in that role. After entering the chapter, John introduced David Ogden to the three principals as David was representing the Grand Superintendent.
Stephen Hulse conducted the ceremony of installation and he installed Ian Green into the first principal’s chair in fine fashion. The second and third principals were then installed into their respective chairs in what was a very good ceremony.
After the ceremony, Ian Green presented David Ogden with donations to: Derian House £150, Wigan and Leigh Hospice £150, Elsie’s Story £150, Ashton Masonic Properties £75 and WLFC £63, giving a total of £588. David thanked Ian and all the members of the chapter for their generosity and said that the final recipients of these donations will not know where they came from, but it will in some way improve their lives.
Before the chapter closed, John Selley presented the newest member of the chapter, Ian Warburton. with his Supreme Grand Chapter Certificate, which Ian was delighted to receive.
The chapter was then closed and the companions retired to the festive board, at which the companions enjoyed a wonderful meal and good company.
