The Intact Centre is a real community hub serving an area of Preston where life can be a challenge for many residents. In addition to providing an invaluable Food Club in the Whitby Pantry, the charity provides a wide variety of support services for the local residents. It is a true community hub.
Each year, the centre runs a Winter Wonderland to bring a bit of Christmas cheer to the people who rely on the centre on a regular basis along with their families. It is a true community event. Father Christmas is on hand to check out his naughty and nice list ahead of the big day. He likes to send every child home with a gift and a smile on their face.
Brethren of Preston Guild Lodge No 4408 have been delighted to help Santa again this year by supplying chocolate selection boxes for him to give to each child. The master of the lodge, Rev Noel Colley, had the honour of delivering them to Intact along with the charity steward Barry Wright. They were ably supported by Ian Greenwood and David Parker Snr.
