West Lancashire Freemasons’ Charity routinely receive conformation of donations from very thankful recipients, but very rarely receive such detailed feedback of how the donation was applied.
Through the generosity of the brethren throughout the Province of West Lancashire and through the WLFC we were able to make a donation to Happy Days Children’s Charity to help fund holidays and trips for 490 children with special needs.
These experiences helped with their sensory awareness and improved their social and communication skills, not to forget the fun, excitement and educational value. The families were able to spend some quality time together in a new setting.
The group activity holidays helped the children with their independence and life skills enabling them to move forward into adulthood with renewed confidence. These opportunities will enable them to take part in an activity more often enjoyed by the wider community, thereby promoting social inclusion.
