The clouds dispersed over Blackpool’s beautiful Stanley Park as 27 brethren and their families arrived for the May gathering of the Fylde light blues Sunday breakfast. The venue was the very special Art Deco café that is a focal point for locals and holidaymakers when visiting the spectacular and award-winning Stanley Park.

It was nice to see some new faces to the event, especially the more recent brethren who have joined the craft, and who had heard of the active work of the Fylde light blues and were keen to be part of this dynamic social group.
When everyone had taken their places, breakfast orders were made and the hot plates of traditional English breakfast items along with some more unusual choices were swiftly brought to the two long tables.
Some lively conversation took place over breakfast with many planning their visit to the upcoming Provincial Grand Lodge meeting and arranging to see each other during the event and immediately following the formal part of the day.
Towards the end of Sunday breakfast, Fylde Light Blues Chairman Ian Fell stood and thanked everyone for their attendance and friendship. He publicised a number of forthcoming events which included the June Sunday breakfast at The Tramway, Cleveleys.
Ian also informed the light blues and their guests of a number of key community engagement events, such as the Cleveleys Car Show which would be of interest to a number of members and their families who might like to volunteer as event marshals. Ian received a rapturous round of applause as he wished everyone a safe onward journey and a great Sunday afternoon.
