Members of the West Lancashire Freemasons visited Moving Senses ~ Positive Futures, a Liverpool based charity dedicated to supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), highlighting the importance of community collaboration and inclusive support services.

The visit took place at the charity’s facilities in Huyton, Liverpool and provided a small group of Freemasons with the opportunity to meet trustees, volunteers and families, learn more about the charity’s work, and see first-hand the impact of its sensory-led activities and wellbeing programmes.
Moving Senses ~ Positive Futures delivers a range of inclusive sessions designed to improve emotional wellbeing, confidence and social interaction for children and young people with additional needs, while also offering vital respite and support for families across the region.
As part of this visit, West Lancashire Freemasons representatives, John James, Assistant Provincial Grand Master, and David Johnson, the Liverpool Group Chairman, on behalf of the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF), awarded Moving Senses ~ Positive Futures a substantial £15,000 grant, a powerful demonstration of their commitment to making a real and lasting difference in the community. The funding will play a key role in strengthening and developing services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
Both John and David were deeply impressed by the energy, enthusiasm, and determination that Carmen Callejo, founder of Moving Senses ~ Positive Futures, brings to her work. They also praised the dedication of the charity’s staff and volunteers, highlighting the meaningful and positive difference they make to families navigating the challenges associated with additional needs.
Carmen for Moving Senses ~ Positive Futures, said: “We were thrilled to welcome members from the West Lancashire Freemasons and to share our work with children and young people who need safe, supportive and inclusive spaces. Their interest and generous grant will help us raise awareness of the importance of accessible community services for families throughout Liverpool.”
