Damian Heaton was raised to the third degree at Fairhaven Lodge No 5076 in a fine ceremony witnessed by members of the lodge and their invited guests. The lodge was opened by the WM Paul Leaper, who conducted the third degree ceremony.

Paul put the relevant questions to the candidate Damian Heaton, before inviting lodge director of ceremonies Norman Prue to occupy the chair of King Solomon and to complete the ceremony, which was carried out with great skill and dignity.
Special praise was given to Peter Robinson, who stepped in to occupy the position of senior deacon with barely a minute’s notice. Peter flawlessly escorted the candidate around the lodge room and guided him through the questions, demonstrating remarkable composure and readiness to serve at a moment’s call.
Following the ceremony, the WM returned to his rightful place. John Conroy delivered the traditional history, which was full of meaning and clearly appreciated by all those present.
To conclude the formal proceedings, South Fylde Group Mentor Chris Tittley presented Damian with an information pack on behalf of the South Fylde Group together with a personal letter from the Provincial Grand Master, Mark Matthews. Chris extended warm thanks to everyone involved for contributing to such a fine, memorable ceremony.
A truly excellent evening, conducted in the best traditions of the Craft; well done to all those who participated in the raising ceremony.
