The 2025 Furness and South Lakeland Group Boxing Event took place at the Cumbria Grand Hotel. The event was a huge success and saw boxers compete at the event from around the county as well as from neighbouring counties.

The evening started with a demonstration from the Boxability team. Boxability, a session for those with learning difficulties and physical disabilities, was created by Youth Ability worker Les McLeese and Barrow Amateur Boxing Club head coach Jeff Moses. The session runs once every week and has seen attendees develop in leaps and bounds.
This was then followed by 14 bouts of boxing, which were of exceptional quality. There was also a raffle, tote and auction. The total raised on the evening was over £10,000 which is a tremendous amount for a single event. The monies will be split between Masonic and non-Masonic local charities.
Furness and South Lakeland boxing committee chairman, Dan Greaves, thanked everyone involved. All of the boxers, their coaches and club staff, the committee, team of stewards, everyone who bought a ticket and the team of raffle ticket sellers who helped to raise such a fantastic sum.
