In an evening marked by tradition, fellowship and the timeless values of Freemasonry, Leyland St Andrew’s Lodge No 7391 celebrated the initiation of Kyle Powell in a ceremony held at Ridgmont House, Horwich. The event highlighted the lodge’s commitment to the growth of its members and the principles of Masonic brotherhood.
The ceremony was conducted by the master of the lodge Allan Archer, whose guidance and stewardship were instrumental in the evening’s proceedings. Andrew Stott, in a role of significant responsibility and honour, delivered the working tools, symbolizing the virtues and ethics that Freemasonry imparts to its brethren.
Kyle was conducted around the lodge by the junior deacon Darren Norris, in a rite of passage that introduced him to the lodge’s sacred spaces and the depth of its traditions. The charge, a moving and meaningful address, was delivered by Rev Matthew McMurray, offering newly initiated Kyle’s reflections on his duties and the virtues upheld by Freemasons worldwide.
The initiation was further highlighted by the warm congratulations and welcome extended to Kyle by Stewart Seddon, a Past Assistant Provincial Grand Master of the Province of West Lancashire and a distinguished member of the lodge. This moment underscored the supportive and enriching environment that the lodge provides to its members.
Kyle’s entry into Freemasonry was proposed by Allan Archer and seconded by Paul Wharton-Hardman, marking the beginning of his Masonic journey with the support and endorsement of esteemed brethren.
Leyland St Andrew’s Lodge expresses its heartfelt congratulations to Kyle and anticipates his contributions and growth within the fraternity. This initiation stands as a testament to the lodge’s vibrant community and its enduring commitment to the principles of Freemasonry.
