Ashmole Lodge No 5128 enjoyed a wonderful evening of Freemasonry, friendship and celebration as Graham Marsh was installed into the chair of King Solomon.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Provincial Grand Master Michael Tax, together with distinguished guests, grand officers Andrew Barton, John McIntyre and Chairman of the Warrington Group John Tyrer.
The ceremony was conducted by Mike Moore, whose calm and assured manner helped make the evening both memorable and enjoyable. Nick Delaney delivered the address to the master, while John Tyrer presented the address to the wardens. A particular highlight was seeing three of the lodge’s light blue members confidently explain the working tools, impressing both visitors and brethren with their knowledge and delivery.
Ashmole Lodge continues to make a real difference within the local community. Over the past 12 months, the lodge has donated more than £3,000 to charitable causes, supporting organisations including Room at the Inn, Warrington Talking Newspaper and charities dedicated to the fight against prostate and pancreatic cancer.
Once the lodge business had concluded, everyone made their way downstairs to the festive board, where the celebrations continued in the warm and friendly atmosphere for which Ashmole Lodge is well known. Good humour, conversation and plenty of laughter filled the room as brethren and guests reflected on a successful evening.
One highlight of the festive board was the Master’s Song, performed by the ever-popular Norman Pritchard, who, as always, was in excellent form. His performance was enthusiastically received and added to the sense of occasion.
The evening drew to a fitting close with presentations and thanks to those who had contributed to the success of the event. Floral gifts were presented to Michael Tax, bringing to an end a truly enjoyable and memorable evening. It was a wonderful start to Graham Marsh’s year as master and one that will be fondly remembered by all who attended.
