Abercromby Chapter No 3699 had a wonderful and colourful installation in the Egyptian Suite at Liverpool Masonic Hall. 26 companions attended the installation, which saw Ray Cooper installed for the first time as third principal, with natural but still pleasing installations for the second and first principals.

Second Provincial Grand Principal Andrew Whittle honoured the chapter as the principal guest. The chapter was in safe hands and under the control of the chapter DC Barry Fletcher. The chapter was opened by Bob Patterson, Alan Ray and Russell Mundy, the first, second and third principals, respectively.
The principal guest Andrew Whittle, accompanied by Assistant to Provincial Grand Principles Ian Sanderson, Liverpool Group Chairman Dave Johnson, Dave Brighouse, John Gibson, Alastair Davidson entered the chapter and were welcomed.
The chapter was declared a Conclave of Installed First Principals which saw Bob Paterson have the great pleasure of installing Alan Ray into the first principal’s chair. The chapter was then declared a Conclave of Installed Second Principals and Alan took great please in installing James Mundy into the second principal’s chair. The chapter was declared a Conclave of Installed Third Principals and James was extremely pleased to install Ray Cooper into the third principal’s chair for the first time.

Roy Cowley gave the robe address to the first principal, Tony Fennell was pleased to give the robe address to the second principal and Mark Connell, to the third principal. The appointment and investiture of the officers of the chapter then took place.
Barry Fletcher gave the address to the officers of the chapter, with Andrew addressing the companions of the chapter. The ceremony of installation having been completed, Andrew thanked the principals for the ceremony and brought the best wishes from the Grand Superintendent Mark Matthews.
Cheques were presented by the chapter to Andrew for the charities. £250 to the group prostate cancer appeal. £100 to the Liverpool Masonic Hall and £50 to the Liverpool Group foodbank appeal. Andrew thanked the companions of the chapter for their generous donations to the charities.
After closing the chapter, the companions retired for the festive board. Andrew responded to the toast of Grand Chapter stating that the ceremony was an excellent ceremony, well performed, and was a lively festive board. The principals thanked the companions and guests for attending a most enjoyable ceremony and festive board. The janitor’s toast was then given, after a wonderful ceremony and evening festive board.
