An extra special evening was had at Chorley Masonic Hall for Roger Mason who was exalted into the Royal Arch in a ceremony witnessed by 20 companions. Chorley Chapter No 6287 welcomed the local Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals Paul Hesketh to their chapter and they put on a first-class ceremony for all to enjoy.
Roger was exalted by his Chorley Chapter companions; first principal Derek Whittle and his acting co-principals, John Breakwell and John Longworth with other officers of the chapter. Each companion showcased a wonderful display of ritual, sharing with Roger an experience he will never forget.
Joining the Royal Arch is considered the next step of the journey into Freemasonry, after completing the third degree as a master Mason. The exaltation ceremony is as memorable as the initiation ceremony and one you will always remember.
The evening was directed by the director of ceremonies Simon Dalley, ably assisted by the ADC John Bicknell who ensured the evening went smoothly for all present. Companion Tom Richardson did a wonderful job as principal sojourner during the ceremony.
The festive board was a vibrant event with a delightful meal, drinks, and friendly conversation. Paul Hesketh responded to the toast to grand officers and commented on how much he had enjoyed the proceedings of the evening and congratulated all involved in the fantastic ceremony. He also extended those congratulations to companion Roger Mason and wished him all the best, hoping that he would have many happy years at Chorley Chapter.
