The Lodge of Tranquillity No 3877 held its final meeting at Woolton Golf Club. WM David Boyes opened the meeting at 6:10pm and the main item on the agenda of this meeting was to advance Omar Al Saman to the degree of fellow craft.

After being entrusted with the necessary details by the WM David, Omar retired to be prepared for the Lodge of Tranquillity’s final ceremony to be held at Woolton Golf Club, that of passing Omar to the degree of a fellow craft.
Upon returning to the temple, junior deacon Alan Sale took charge and skilfully guided Omar around the temple. He paused at both the senior and junior wardens’ pedestals before presenting Omar to the WM. Dave conducted the ceremony of passing flawlessly, delivering it word for word.

Before retiring to restore himself to his personal comforts, Omar received an explanation of the second degree working tools, excellently presented by Ian Broomfield.
As the Lodge of Tranquillity prepared to move to their new location at the Masonic Hall in Widnes, hall manager Lewis Redhead was invited to give a brief talk about the facilities available at the hall. Although it was a bittersweet moment for lodge members to be leaving Woolton, where they had met for many years, Lewis expressed his excitement about their decision to make Widnes their new home. He looked forward to welcoming them there, stating: “Woolton’s loss is Widnes’s gain.”
The festive board was a lively event filled with conversations about the move to Widnes. While some members had reservations about the relocation, the majority were excited about it. Dave expressed his gratitude to the lodge members for their continued support and thanked the visitors who attended their last meeting. Omar, who had been regularly initiated and passed to the degree of fellow craft at Woolton, can now look forward to being raised to the sublime degree of master Mason at his new home in Widnes.
