At the Rowley Chapter’s Installation Convocation Third Principal Stuart Webb was installed as First Principle by Paul Mason with Past Provincial Grand Standard Bearer John Berry remaining in post as Second Principle and Past Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies Bill Byrne installed as Third Principle.
John Robbie Porter, Past Provincial Grand Standard Bearer, Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals was the representative of Provincial Grand Superintendent Mark Matthews. John was accompanied by Past Grand Scribe Nemiah Peter Mason who is also Deputy Superintendent in the Province of Cumberland and Westmorland together with Lancaster Vice Group Chairman Chris Larder and Group Secretary Daniel Crossley.
The ceremony was conducted by Director of Ceremonies Adrian Gifford who presented the three incoming Principals. Installing Scribe Nemiah was Excellent Companion Peter Mason.
The only reading was to the First Principal which was read by Peter Pemberton.
The robe addresses were well delivered by Excellent Companion David Moss from Fortitude Chapter to the First Principal, Excellent Companion Ken Maunder to the Second Principal and by Excellent Companion Roy Fenton to the Third Principal. On completion of the installation ceremony First Principal Stuart Webb appointed and invested his officers for the year.
John Robbie Porter brought greetings from Provincial Grand Superintendent Mark Matthews and congratulated the newly installed Principals and all those who taken part in the ceremony. John was presented with cheque in favour of the Lancaster Masonic Hall in the sum of £500. A total of 21 companions dined at the festive board. The toast to the Principals was given by Excellent Companion Daniel Crossley.
