Amongst the guests at the evening of dining and festivities, which was organised by the Garston Masonic Hall Chairman Mal Yates, was Assistant Provincial Grand Master Andrew Whittle.
Guests were entertained by Mikey Powell who since winning Stars in Your Eyes as Scott Walker singing, ‘The Sun Aint Gonna Shine Aymore’, has developed into one of the leading vocal impressionists in the UK, paying tribute to some of the finest vocal talents in the business including Matt Munro, Engelbert Humperdinck. Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and other crooner legends
The guests enjoyed a four-course meal and there was also a raffle with great prizes. The event was a great success as the evening raised £700 towards supporting the hall funds. It is this type of evening which helps with recruitment and another source of valuable income for the hall.
