Following a meeting in February 2024, with a handful of new committee members, The Corinthian Club is back and have already been actively visiting lodge meetings with new Freemasons as well as visiting first degree ceremonies to introduce initiates to the light blue club.
During COVID, The Corinthian Club held regular Zoom meetings which kept a lot of new and young Masons involved in their Freemasonry, some even commenting that without it they would have most likely left the organisation. Initial face-to-face meetings after the lockdowns ended were poorly attended but after speaking to lodges and new members it is time to re-ignite the clubs aim to bring local light blue Masons together and support them through their Masonic journey.
As well as organising lodge visits, please look out for future light blue forums which are hosting around the Province twice per year. The last forum was hosted at Southport Masonic Hall in February and was attended by our Provincial Grand Master Mark Matthews, as well as other Provincial brethren and guest speakers.
In other news, The Corinthian Club would like to congratulate our club president Neil Ward, Provincial Grand Membership Officer, for his promotion to grand rank in Craft this year, following his grand rank promotion in chapter last year. Neil is one of the nicest people you will ever meet, so please introduce yourself to him if he visits your lodge, although he will most likely introduce himself to you first.
With new members joining the committee team, the club is now actively looking to organise visits to specific lodge meetings and also to organise events that would help light blue Masons meet other light blue brethren from other Chorley and Leyland Group lodges.
