The combined Light Blues Clubs in the South Eastern and Eccles Groups, based at Urmston Masonic Hall, are excited to share some uplifting news regarding their sponsor, local company, J P Goldman, and their generous initiatives to support the Light Blues Club house/community hub.
They have now began purchasing materials to begin the renovation and have taken proactive steps to enhance the Light Blues Club by initiating the conversion of the basement into a dedicated community hub. This hub will serve as a gathering place for light blues to come together, share fellowship and extend support to those in need within our fraternity and community.
The club is also pleased to report that they have secured a £2,500 grant to assist with the renovation of the basement and to support any and all initiatives aimed at promoting the welfare of our community. This contribution will significantly contribute to the realisation of their vision for the Light Blues Club community hub.
Furthermore, the light blues are thrilled to report that the current balance of funds raised for the Light Blues Club stands at an impressive £3,348.06. These funds have been diligently collected through various light blues events held throughout the year and added to the grant to reach the impressive total it now is.
Looking ahead, the club is committed to utilising all funds raised to support worthy causes, including supporting the new Trafford Group itself, their chosen charity, The Forget Me Not Trust, and various community outreach programmes and events. With several more light blues events planned throughout the year, they are optimistic about the positive impact they can collectively make in the community.
The light blues wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to J P Goldman for their unwavering support and generosity, as well as to all brethren who have contributed to the success of the fundraising efforts. Together, the club is making a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us.
