Brethren of Anderton Lodge No. 8470 proudly announces the second degree passing of Mark Chatterley, whose extraordinary efforts and dedication when an entered apprentice have significantly contributed to the success of the group’s poppy appeal charitable endeavours.
Mark since joining the fraternity has demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to the values and principles of Freemasonry. His recent work in supporting the Chorley and Leyland Group’s poppy appeal efforts, a cause close to the hearts of many, has not only exemplified his dedication but has also significantly aided in raising awareness and funds for this noble cause.
“Mark’s other contributions went far beyond what is typically expected from an entered apprentice,” said Jeff Lucas, a senior Mason in the Province and a key organiser in the group’s poppy appeal support. “His enthusiastic efforts so early in his Masonic career have been a beacon of inspiration for all our members and have greatly amplified the impact of our charitable activities.”
Jeff, joined by colleagues from across the group, visited Anderton Lodge in a show of support to celebrate Mark’s passing to the second degree. The second degree passing marks a milestone in his Masonic journey, reflecting his growth and the respect he has earned within the fraternity. This advancement is not just a recognition of his knowledge and understanding of Masonic principles, but also a testament to his active and heartfelt engagement in the community.
The Chorley and Leyland Masonic group takes this moment to commend Mark for his exemplary service and looks forward to his continued contributions and growth within the fraternity. His journey from entered apprentice to fellow craft is a journey that embodies the very essence of Freemasonry; brotherly love, relief and truth.
