Santa, (AKA Alex Myles), was just returning home to Greenland when he decided to pop into Southport to see what was going on. He parked his slay in the Masonic Hall car park and took a look in. Imagine his surprise when he saw over 80 children of all ages having a party.
The party was organised by Julie Mcgee and her cohort Richard Alty. The party was going strong when Santa stuck his head round the door and the kids were playing games with balloons. Santa went a bit further and found the bar full of parents and grandparents some of them were eating cottage pie which looked and smelt delicious.
On further inspection, Santa saw there was an entertainer called Mr Stix who had all the kids sat down having loads of fun and was giving prizes to the children who were winning the games. They all seemed very happy about it and he had them all in peals of laughter
Then it was time for the traditional tea which some of the kids really enjoyed, while others were too excited. Father Christmas then went to his sleigh to see if he could find presents for the good boys and girls and the ones who had been not so good. Santa then went to a beautiful decorated grotto and handed the presents to the boys and girls, helped by his elves, Teagan Mault, Jasmine Cullis and her sister Rebecca and Sophie Mcgee, and Santa’s helpers, Phil Stock, Brian Griffiths, Paul Hardman and Colin Jenkins and do you know he had just enough.
The children had a wonderful afternoon and parents and grandparents had food and drink in the bar. The party itself was a great success and a tribute to all involved.
