Masonic bikers visit Ecclesholme
A group of motorbike Freemasons from Leicestershire and Rutland Province called in at Eccelsholme for a brew and a chat with residents.
The bikers were are travelling to all the RMBI homes throughtout the country in aid of their 2012 Festival for the RMBI and they are hoping to raise funds on their tour and get sponsorship from their members.
On the day before the bikers had visited the homes at Cramlington and York. After visiting Ecclesholme for lunch they were to attend The Fairlawn in Liverpool and then to travel down to Llandudno to visit Queen Elizabeth Court before visiting other homes.
Joining them on the York to Llandudno leg of the journey were husband and wife from the province of West Riding, who felt it a well worth the cause and in their efforts had got sponsorship of £700 for RMBI.
It is hoped their visit to Lancashire and Merseyside was one they would not forget!
Home manager, Bev Niland was presented with a picture of the team of bikers before they set off on their long journey home. A van is travelling round with the team, just in case a bike breaks down and they need a replacement.
