UNIVERSITY MASONRY
The introduction of ‘University Masonry’ in the University Lodge of Liverpool has been hugely successful, particularly among the student body, and membership of that lodge is growing monthly. (See ‘Matt’s Blog’ on this website.)
We are now keen to discover the level of potential interest in the other university locations within our Masonic Province, which stretches from the Mersey to Barrow-in-Furness with the A6 as its eastern boundary.
Will any member of staff or student (whether a Freemason or not) at the University of Lancaster who is interested in the extension of the University Scheme to that University and may be prepared to help or advise in the project please contact The Provincial Secretary at the Provincial Office, 0151 709 2458 Ext 4 or privateoffice@provinceofwestlancs.co.uk.
Enquiries from other University locations are also welcome

A ‘Rolling Plan’ for the development of our Province
(Updated June 2010)
INTO THE FUTURE ...
For several months Provincial Grand Master Peter Hosker and those who advise him, have been planning and putting together a structure for securing the successful ongoing development of Freemasonry in West Lancashire.
Its purpose is to analyse our work as Masons and, by constantly rolling forward, looking to a horizon of five years, review our aspirations and monitor our outcomes. It is designed to be questioning, flexible and constantly evolving, and part of its intention is to share with all West Lancashire Masons the steps being taken to fulfil the purposes of Freemasonry in the world of today, and tomorrow.
It is a serious and analytical document, but it is hoped it will be read with interest by all who have the future of The Craft at heart.
It is hoped that brethren will discuss the Rolling Plan in their lodges and elsewhere, and contribute any comments they wish to The Province, via this website.

If you wish to make a comment on the plan click here to open your e-mail software and send comments to the Provincial Office |

Interest in Freemasonry among younger men is growing. Many new younger Masons find their way to us via our website. We asked Matt, a member of a lodge in Liverpool, to write a blog about his early experiences as a Mason. Click here to read Matt’s update:
